CalCPA Award Winning Video. Orange County Accountant Chris Wynkoop performs several magic tricks in the following video that won an award in the California Society of Certified Public Accountants contest.
Over the years, I’ve learned a number of beneficial things by being a member of the California’s Society of CPAs.
For instance, did you know there is new provisions federal tax code and if you qualify you don’t have to file a tax return regardless of what your income is?
Basically what the new provision states is that if line 34 is greater than line 23, grab between line 15 and 16 and rip vigorously.
If your mother-in-law lives with you from January through March, take form 6251 and soak it in light starch. Now, this only works if you are a non-resident, because for the rest of you it’s been approved by congress but vetoed by the president.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
You have the numbers 1-8 and a lot of people don’t know this but 8 is the heaviest number in the calculator, ‘cuz it’s got the most megapixels.
Right now 8 stands on the top of 1 through 7 but if you bring up at too much of an angle, it falls to the bottom of the 1 through 7.
Two rubber bands linked together…
Now one of the neat things about rubber bands is they have they have a kind of a soft center and if you tug on the center just like that, it’s almost as though one goes through the other.
Here’s a new money making idea I’ve had.
Take a blank piece of paper and just put it on an ink blotter like this and then just merely roll the ink blotter over the top. What do you think?
Two rubber bands…
Now what I’d like you to do is pinch thumb to first finger right on the top strand… let me see your hand. Perfect.
You ever go into the office and time drags a little slow and you can’t tell what time it is?
When it happens to me, I usually have someone hold onto rubber bands like this throughout their visit.
As long as their finger’s on the top strand, I know it’s 9 in the morning. A little time goes by, it’s 10 ‘o clock. Wait a little bit longer, it’s 11 ‘o clock and before long it’s lunchtime.
Now would you like to see it go back to the top?
